Saskatchewan River Delta

This video program examines the Saskatchewan River Delta. Plants, animals, birds and insects call this ecosystem home. First Nations and Métis people use the delta for their livelihood. Scientists from around the world study the delta as it is the world's largest inland freshwater delta. The building of the dam has impacted wildlife, migratory birds and First Nations and Métis people who depend upon the delta. The program discusses the formation of the Upper Saskatchewan River Delta and the Lower Saskatchewan River Delta.
