Clean, sustainable nuclear fusion may provide the key to the world's energy problems. Attempts to create it, however, have been unsuccessful. This report looks at companies in California and British Columbia that are trying to develop technology to create nuclear fusion and contrasts their efforts with the giant ITER project in France.
