This video invites educators to take a proactive approach. Being proactive implies predicting challenges in advance, planning our responses, and providing support rather than reactive remediation. Proactivity changes how we view environments, materials, routines, and transitions. But more than anything, a proactive approach informs our relationships. It is a foundation for how we welcome and get to know children and families in our programs. It establishes how we set up ways of sharing information and partnering with families.
