Planting Our Truth: Two-Spirit Experiences in Saskatchewan
This video examines the history of Two-Spirit peoples from pre-and-post colonization and the impact of residential schools in Saskatchewan. Nehiyawak terms used in the video are roughly translated to: Ohtehwewak (Intersex), Iskwew (Cisgender woman), Napew (Cisgender man), Iskwehikan (Transgender woman), Napehikan (Transgender man) and Ayaakhwew (non-binary or gender fluid). In the video, Two-Spirit individuals share their experiences, knowledge and desire to live their truth.
